Oxford Immune Algorithmics’ (OIA) Algocyte, Voted one of Top 5 UK Precision Medicine Solutions

Oxford Immune Algorithmics (OIA) received the news that its AI-driven diagnostic and immune health monitoring solution, Algocyte, has earned a spot as one of the U.K.’s top five precision medicine solutions. It joins four other U.K.-based companies cited in the magazine Heathcare Tech, adding to the multiple recognitions it has already received as an award-winning company. Healthcare giants such as Astra Zeneca and Novartis are also featured.

In an interview for the magazine, OIA’s CEO, Dr Hector Zenil, spoke of the dire need for new methodologies in the current ‘sick-care’ environment. He explained that OIA’s flagship product, Algocyte, with its patient-centric approach, will alter healthcare, moving it away from its current reliance on population-wide reference values towards personalised causal diagnostics.

OIA’s AI-driven solution, Algocyte, monitors the immune system using responsible A.I., A.I. that reasons like a human medical expert and is able to explain its decisions so that doctors may make the final call. In the article, OIA CEO Dr Hector Zenil notes;

“Algocyte is an A.I. that learns from and monitors each individual’s health, in particular, markers related to the immune system, and provides an immune-age related score that allows both patients and clinicians to pick up and monitor small but informative health trends over time.”

Precision medicine moves away from a one-size-fits-all approach, which has not delivered the expected results. More accurate diagnostics and a treatment plan based on the individual’s unique health status is needed, which Algocyte will provide.

OIA’s solution, Algocyte, will pivot health testing away from its dependence on population-wide reference values and towards personalised causal diagnostics to monitor the immune system using responsible A.I.
